Terms and Conditions

The conditions governing the purchase of research chemicals from Alpenix Swiss Peptides.

1. Scope and provider

These Terms and Conditions (T&C) apply to all orders placed through this website. The seller is Alpenix Swiss Peptides, Placeholder Address
Address number, Switzerland („Alpenix“). Deviating conditions of the customer do not apply unless we have expressly agreed to them in writing.

2. Products and intended use

All products are research chemicals and reference materials for in-vitro research and laboratory use only. They are not medicinal products, not dietary supplements and are not intended for human or veterinary consumption. Information on this website (product descriptions, analytical data, technical documents) is provided for scientific information only and does not constitute medical advice, a dosage recommendation, or an approval for any use.

3. Eligibility and conclusion of contract

By placing an order you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and that you acquire the products for professional research or laboratory purposes. The presentation of products on the website is not a binding offer. With your order you make a binding offer to conclude a contract. The contract is concluded when we confirm the order by e-mail or dispatch the goods. We may refuse or cancel orders without giving reasons, in particular where legal or shipping restrictions apply.

4. Prices, currency and VAT

All prices are quoted in Swiss francs (CHF). Unless stated otherwise, prices include Swiss value added tax at the statutory rate. Shipping costs are shown separately during checkout. Additional costs may arise for deliveries abroad through import duties, taxes and customs clearance fees; these are borne by the customer.

5. Payment

The available payment methods are shown during checkout and are described in our Payment Terms. Payment must be made in full before dispatch unless another arrangement has been expressly agreed.

6. Delivery and transfer of risk

Shipping, delivery times and shipping costs are governed by our Shipping and Delivery Policy. The risk of accidental loss or deterioration passes to the customer upon delivery of the goods to the carrier. Delivery is subject to availability.

7. Retention of title

The goods remain our property until the purchase price has been paid in full.

8. Returns, defects and refunds

Returns and the handling of defective or incorrect deliveries are governed by our Returns, Defects and Refund Policy. Please read it before ordering, as special rules apply to sealed research chemicals for safety and hygiene reasons.

9. Warranty

The statutory warranty provisions apply. We warrant that the products conform to the specifications stated in the batch-specific test report. After receipt, please inspect the goods without delay and report any defect in writing, with photographs and the batch number, within the period stated in our Returns Policy. Product identity must be verified against the batch-specific test report for the batch supplied.

10. Limitation of liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for any liability that cannot be limited by law (in particular under the Swiss Product Liability Act). For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of essential contractual duties and limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract. We are not liable for damage resulting from use of the products contrary to their intended research purpose, from failure to observe safety data sheets or institutional guidelines, or from unsuitable handling, storage or use.

11. Force majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including natural events, transport disruptions, customs delays, or measures taken by authorities.

12. Applicable law and jurisdiction

These T&C are governed by the substantive law of Switzerland, excluding the conflict-of-law rules of Swiss private international law and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. This choice of law does not deprive a consumer of the protection afforded by mandatory provisions of the law of their habitual residence. Place of jurisdiction is the registered seat of the seller, subject to mandatory statutory places of jurisdiction.

13. Severability

Should individual provisions of these T&C be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain unaffected. The invalid provision is replaced by a valid provision that comes closest to the intended economic purpose.
